Most importantly, the engine retains its ability to control boost due to knock and adjust for less than optimum octane.  Ride worry free if you go on long trips and only have access to poor quality marina fuel.  The MACSBOOST module is the only aquatrax modification that retains safe computer control of boost with all of your stock safeguards.  No mechanical modifications are required.

Fuel Requirement:  93(R+M)/2 octane or better is required but your engine will safely run on less with reduced performance.   91 octane fuel is not sufficient for improved performance over stock.   Blending race fuel with pump gas to increase octane will add sustained performance.  93 octane fuel is pump premium in most US states.

If 91 octane is all you have available, The MACSBOOST intercooler combined with the module will allow for improved performance on 91octane. Only our intercooler kit includes all  proper hardware to get the maximum performance from your watercraft regardless your fuel quality.

Test Results:  Shown below is a performance comparison. A 2004 R12X was tested with and without MACSBOOST . You can see from 35mph on, there is no question MACSBOOST works!.  The data shows a 2.5mph WOT difference. You can also see that acceleration is a full 1 second faster to 50mph and an incredible 2 seconds faster to 60mph. These runs were performed within seconds of each other, back to back on the exact same ski in the same direction over the same body of water. The _only_ difference is the MACSBOOST Module. The data was collected by a high rate Pi Research GPS data logger.
